
OxyContin Dealer Arrested in Washington
Police in Snohomish, WA arrested 26-year-old Ryan Fisher for dealing OxyContin and booked him on one count of possessing a controlled substance with the intent to distribute. Additionally, he was arrested for an outstanding DUI warrant. Fisher is a known felon with a previous weapons charge and had outstanding warrants from a separate arrest.
Calgary Pharmacy Robbed of OxyContin
The Fifth and Browne Pharmacy in Calgary was robbed when a disheveled man wearing a stocking hat, glasses, and a sweatshirt entered the pharmacy and demanded OxyContin. Witnesses say the unshaven man with dark hair also wielded a knife during the robbery.
Man Pleads Guilty to One Crime, Commits Another Before Sentencing
James Brian Gendimenico, of Montgomery County, Maryland, committed two crimes, just a few weeks apart and between the time he was in court to plead guilty to the first crime and when was scheduled to return for sentencing. First, Gendimenico cheated a 91-year-old widow out of $189,000. In his first court appearance, he pleaded guilty, but wasn’t jailed. Before he returned to court for sentencing, he began dealing OxyContin and Adderall from a local storage unit. Undercover police arrested Gendimenico for selling the prescription drugs illegally. When Gendimenico returned to court for the sentencing of his first crime, the drug crimes were added to his list of offenses. During Gendimenico’s sentencing Montgomery County Circuit Judge Eric Johnson said he felt sorry - for his defense attorney.
Edmonton Police Warn of Extra Potent OxyContin Pills
Edmonton Police have issues an arrest warrant for Mahamed Aden Hassan following the robbery of a large amount of extra potent OxyContin pills from an industrial area in the west end of town. After reviewing surveillance video of the business, police issued the warrant for the 24-year-old Hassan. Hassan is wanted for breaking and entering and committing a theft. Detectives say the OxyContin pills are so potent that even a single pill could be deadly. Authorities estimate a drug dealer could sell the pills for between $150,000 and $250,000 on the street.
Redding Man Arrested for Pharmacy Robbery
Michael Reid Davis, 26, of Redding, has been arrested for robbing the local SHOPKO of OxyContin pills a few weeks ago. Witnesses say the robber demanded OxyContin pills from the pharmacy clerk and said he had a weapon. Authorities say Davis admitted to the crime during an interview with police.
Green Bay Walgreen’s Robbed of OxyContin Pills
A man described as white, in his mid to late twenties, and approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, robbed a Howard Walgreen’s of OxyContin pills. The suspect wore a light-blue hoodie, a baseball cap, and tan cargo pants. While the crook never brandished a weapon, the pharmacy clerk said the robber threatened him with one. The local sheriff’s department report similar robberies in two other Green Bay locations.
Edmonton Couple Arrested for Drug Trafficking
A couple from Fort McMurray was arrested after police found thousands of dollars worth of marijuana and OxyContin pills in their house. In addition to the harvested marijuana, sixteen marijuana plants worth approximately $10,000, and two guns were also found in the house. Charges have yet to be levied against the couple, therefore their names and ages have not been made public.
